Surf Report - New Jersey Shore areas

New Jersey and Delaware Surf Report for 02-19-2025

Listen Later

Surf's up, beach lovers! As we wrap up the 2024 beach forecast season, the Jersey Shore and Delaware beaches are serving up some seriously moody maritime vibes.

Grab your windbreaker and board wax because we're looking at a classic late September coastal day. Northeast winds are cranking around 15 to 20 miles per hour, creating some legit surf conditions with waves between 2 to 3 feet across all zones.

The rip current risk is moderate everywhere, so surfers and swimmers need to stay alert. Those underwater channels can get spicy, especially near jetties and piers. Translation: proceed with caution and maybe bring a buddy.

Water temps are hovering in the upper 60s to lower 70s - not tropical, but definitely bearable for late-season water warriors. From Sandy Hook to Ocean City, and stretching down to Rehoboth Beach, you'll find mostly cloudy skies with just a hint of drama - a slight chance of rain might crash the party.

Temperatures will dance in the upper 60s to lower 70s, perfect for layering up and looking cool. UV index is moderate, so sunscreen is still your friend even under those cloudy skies.

Tide hunters, mark your watches: high tides range from 6:25 AM at Belmar to 7:17 AM at Cape May. Low tides follow midday, bottoming out between 12:18 and 1:03 PM.

As the sun arcs from a 6:50 AM rise to a 6:42 PM sunset, this could be your last surf session of the season. Make it count, ocean lovers!

Catch those waves and stay safe out there!
