Surf Report - New Jersey Shore areas

New Jersey and Delaware Surf Report for 03-02-2025

Listen Later

Surfers and beach lovers, get ready for a chilly yet adventurous day along the Jersey Shore and Delaware coast! The surf is serving up a moderate risk of rip currents, so keep your wits about you out there.

We're looking at 2 to 3 foot waves rolling in with a northeast wind blowing around 15 to 20 miles per hour. Water temperatures are hovering in the mid to upper 60s, which means you'll want that wetsuit if you're planning to catch some morning waves.

From Sandy Hook down to Cape May and over to Rehoboth Beach, the conditions are pretty consistent. Expect mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance of rain teasing the coastline. The UV index is moderate, so sunscreen is still your friend even under those cloudy skies.

High temperatures will dance around the upper 60s to lower 70s, giving you just enough warmth to enjoy some beach time. Sunrise kicks off around 6:50 AM, with sunset painting the sky around 6:45 PM.

Tide watchers take note: morning high tides will hit between 6:25 AM and 7:17 AM, depending on your specific beach location. Low tides will follow around midday.

Heads up, wave riders - this is the final surf zone forecast of the 2024 season. So make these last moments count! Remember to respect the ocean, watch for those sneaky rip currents, and stay safe out there.

Catch you on the waves!
