Listen Later

Surf's up, beach lovers and wave chasers! We're diving into the final surf zone forecast of the 2024 season, and Mother Nature's serving up some mixed conditions along the Jersey Shore and Delaware coast.

Heads up, surfers and swimmers - we're looking at a moderate rip current risk across all zones, so stay alert and swim smart. Waves are holding steady at 2 to 3 feet, perfect for some casual riding or paddling.

From Sandy Hook down to Cape May, temperatures are dancing in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Water's cooling down but still inviting, ranging from lower 60s to lower 70s depending on your coastal location. Coastal winds are blowing northeast at 15 to 20 mph, creating some choppy conditions.

Skies are playing a game of partly sunny to mostly cloudy, with a slight rain chance teasing some areas. UV index is sitting at moderate, so grab that sunscreen if you're hitting the beach.

Tide times are key for your coastal adventures. Belmar's high tide kicks in at 6:25 AM, while Atlantic City and Rehoboth Beach follow shortly after. Low tides are scattered around midday, giving you plenty of time to explore the shoreline.

Sunrise lovers can catch the golden morning light between 6:50 and 6:55 AM, with sunset painting the sky between 6:42 and 6:47 PM.

A friendly reminder - this is the last surf zone forecast of the season. Tomorrow, October 1st, marks the official close of beach monitoring. So squeeze in those final beach moments, respect the water, and stay safe out there, ocean enthusiasts!
