Surf Report - New Jersey Shore areas

New Jersey and Delaware Surf Report for 03-04-2025

Listen Later

Surf's up, beach lovers! As we wrap up the 2024 beach forecast season, conditions are looking moderately wild along the Jersey Shore and Delaware beaches.

Grab your board and sunscreen because we've got a classic late September morning brewing. Expect northeast winds howling around 15 to 20 miles per hour, kicking up some playful 2 to 3 foot waves that'll keep things interesting for surfers and swimmers alike.

Sandy Hook riders will enjoy partly sunny skies with water temperatures in the upper 60s. Long Beach Island and Atlantic City are looking mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain - typical shoulder season vibes. The Delaware beaches are hanging in the lower 70s with similar cloudy conditions.

Heads up beach warriors - we're rocking a moderate rip current risk across all zones. Translation: those waves are looking spicy, so stay alert near jetties, piers, and rocky areas. The UV index is moderate, so sunscreen is your friend.

Tide schedules are looking consistent. Cape May's high tide hits at 7:17 AM, while Sandy Hook peaks earlier at 6:25 AM. Sunrise is creeping later, around 6:50 to 6:55 AM, with sunsets between 6:42 and 6:47 PM.

This is our final surf zone forecast for 2024, so make these last beach days count! Stay safe, watch those currents, and enjoy the late summer ocean magic.

Surf's calling - catch you out there!
