Surf Report - New Jersey Shore areas

New Jersey and Delaware Surf Report for 04-29-2025

Listen Later

Surf's up, beach lovers! As we ride into the final day of the 2024 beach forecast season, things are looking pretty interesting along the Jersey Shore and Delaware coastline.

If you're planning to hit the waves, you'll want to pack a light jacket and keep your eyes on those currents. We're looking at a moderate rip current risk across all coastal zones, so surfers and swimmers need to stay alert. The surf's running a solid 2 to 3 feet with northeast winds howling around 15 to 20 miles per hour.

Temperature-wise, we're hanging in the upper 60s to low 70s - not exactly summer scorching, but definitely comfortable for late September. Water temperatures are ranging from the lower 60s at Atlantic City to the lower 70s down in Delaware, giving you just enough warmth to make a quick dip tempting.

Skies will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain, especially down towards Atlantic City and Cape May. The UV index is sitting at moderate, so sunscreen is still your friend even under those cloudy skies.

Tide schedules are looking pretty consistent across the regions. If you're an early bird, you'll catch high tide between 6:25 and 7:17 AM, with low tide rolling in around midday.

One big heads up - this is the last official surf zone forecast for the season. After today, you'll need to check alternative weather sources. So grab your board, stay safe, and make these last beach moments count!

Sunrise kicks off between 6:50 and 6:55 AM, with sunset closing the day between 6:42 and 6:47 PM. Catch those waves and enjoy the final moments of beach season!
