Surf's Up, Beach Lovers! Here's your Monday Morning Beach Buzz from the Jersey Shore and Delaware Coast!
Get ready for a moody maritime Monday with moderate rip current risks across the region. Our beaches are serving up waves in the 2 to 3 foot range - perfect for cautious surfers and seasoned wave riders.
From Sandy Hook down to Cape May and over to Rehoboth, we're looking at mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance of rain. Temperatures will hover in the upper 60s to lower 70s, keeping things comfortably cool.
Those northeast winds are cranking at 15 to 20 miles per hour, which means choppy conditions and some serious wind energy. Water temperatures are dancing between the mid to upper 60s, so you'll want that light wetsuit if you're planning to paddle out.
Early morning high tides are rolling in around 6:30 to 7:15 AM, with low tides hitting midday between 12:30 and 1 PM. Sunrise catches happen between 6:50 and 6:55 AM, with sunset painting the sky around 6:42 to 6:47 PM.
UV index is moderate, so grab some sunscreen if you're beach bound. And heads up - this is the final surf zone forecast for the 2024 season, so soak up these last September beach vibes!
Rip current warning: Stay alert near groins, jetties, and piers. These areas can create tricky water conditions that even experienced swimmers need to respect.
Catch you on the waves, beach warriors!
