Hey there beachgoers! Get ready to catch some waves and soak up the sun with your surf zone forecast for New Jersey and Delaware, brought to you by the National Weather Service.

Starting off with Eastern Monmouth, including the beautiful beaches of Sandy Hook, today looks like a dream with low rip current risk and around 1 foot of surf height. The water temperature is in the lower 70s, perfect for a refreshing dip. Expect mostly sunny skies with highs in the upper 70s and gentle south winds at 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Looking ahead to Independence Day, surf heights will increase to 2 to 3 feet, with a chance of thunderstorms and highs around 80. So keep an eye on the weather and enjoy those South winds at 10 to 15 miles per hour.

Over at Long Beach Island, in Coastal Ocean, grab your boards for 1 to 2 feet of surf height today, with low rip current risk and very high UV index. It's gonna be a great day with mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s.

On the Fourth of July, surf heights may reach up to 3 feet with moderate rip current risk. Keep an eye out for some showers and storms as you enjoy the South winds around 15 miles per hour.

Moving down to Atlantic City in Coastal Atlantic, expect surf heights of 2 to 3 feet today with low rip current risk. Enjoy the sunny skies and mid 70s temperatures along with those South winds at 5 to 10 miles per hour.

For Independence Day, the surf heights and risk of rip currents will be similar. The South winds will pick up to 10 to 15 miles per hour, so hold onto your hats while you soak up the sun!

Ending our forecast at the Delaware Beaches, including Rehoboth Beach, get ready for 1 to 2 feet of surf today with low rip current risk and a very high UV index. The lower 70s water temperature will feel just right as you bask in partly sunny skies.

On the Fourth, expect surf heights to reach 2 to 3 feet with similar conditions and highs in the lower 80s. Enjoy the South winds at 10 to 15 miles per hour as you celebrate Independence Day by the sea.
