The Midwest assumes it's safe from most natural disasters outside of Tornados. However, the Midwest sits on one of the largest seismic zones in the country and we are overdue for activity. With any cataclysmic event, there will be theories, or in this case prophecy, of what to expect when we eventually have a seismic earthquake. Talks of tsunamis from the great lakes, volcano eruption from yellow stone, and the general unpreparedness of dealing with the aftermath.
