However unholy and undeserving we were before we met Christ, however unfit and unlovable we’ve been made to feel by the world’s standards—all of that is dissolved in the light of Christ’s mercy. Through the provision of the cross, he deems us worthy, lovable, righteous, and welcome as the children of God.
