Ashwini is the first nakshatra of Aries, ruled by the twin horse headed sons of Surya - The Ashwin Kumaras. They are the divine physicians, bestowed with knowledge of herbs, medicine and the ability to heal illness swiftly, Ashwini thus indicates a cycle of healing, swift movement and new beginnings.
Be aware that the day before, the moon will be crossing the notorious gandanta knot, a place of karmic entanglements and unwinding. A dark moon is Amavasya - there is no light, so its best to be aware that not much needs to be accomplished. Let the mind go, and wait until the moon passes to the other side of the Sun, to make important decisions
