Good morning, weather watchers! I'm your host bringing you the latest forecast for the Gretna area in Louisiana.

We're in for quite the meteorological rollercoaster this weekend! First up, we've got some active weather warnings - a Wind Advisory and a Cold Weather Advisory are in effect, so buckle up!

Tonight, expect a 50 percent chance of showers with temperatures holding steady around 63 degrees. Those southeast winds will be dancing around 10 miles per hour, with gusts up to 20 miles per hour. Pack a light jacket and maybe a compact umbrella!

Sunday brings a similar vibe with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before the morning wraps up. Temperatures will climb to a comfortable 74 degrees, with those breezy south winds reaching up to 30 miles per hour.

Sunday night gets dramatic - prepare for potential thunderstorms with rainfall between a quarter and half an inch. Temperatures will drop dramatically to around 36 degrees, so layer up!

The week ahead looks like a chilly adventure. Monday brings mostly sunny skies with a high near 45 degrees, and those northwest winds will keep things crisp at 20 to 25 miles per hour.

Tuesday and Wednesday continue the cool trend with sunny skies and highs around 47 degrees. Expect northwest winds around 10 miles per hour.

Later in the week, we're looking at increasing chances of showers, with temperatures gradually climbing to the low 50s.
