Good morning, weather watchers! This is your friendly neighborhood meteorologist coming in hot with today's forecast for the Gretna area in Louisiana.

Buckle up because we've got a chilly adventure ahead! We're looking at a Cold Weather Advisory and a Freeze Watch, so grab those cozy layers.

Tonight, expect a mostly cloudy sky with temperatures dropping to a brisk 33 degrees. Those north winds will be dancing around 10 miles per hour, with gusts up to 20 miles per hour - definitely jacket weather!

Tuesday brings some sunshine relief with mostly sunny skies and a high near 46 degrees. Wednesday follows a similar pattern, warming up slightly to 49 degrees.

Now, things get interesting Thursday and Friday. We're talking about a potential 20 percent chance of showers Thursday afternoon, and by Friday, we're looking at a 90 percent chance of rain - and not just a light sprinkle, folks. We could see some heavy precipitation with winds gusting up to 30 miles per hour.

The weekend looks more stable, with partly sunny conditions and temperatures hovering in the mid to upper 40s. Sunday will give us a nice bump to 54 degrees with mostly sunny skies.
