Good morning, weather watchers! I'm your meteorologist coming to you with the latest forecast for the Gretna area in Louisiana.

Let's dive right into this weekend's weather adventure. Tonight, expect a crisp and mostly clear sky with temperatures dropping to a cool 37 degrees. It'll be a calm evening, perfect for snuggling up with a warm blanket.

Sunday is bringing a bit of drama to our forecast. We've got a 40 percent chance of showers rolling in after 5 in the evening. The morning starts with some patchy fog before 8 am, but as the day progresses, clouds will start to take over. Temperatures will climb to a mild 58 degrees, with east winds blowing between 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Hold onto your umbrellas, because Sunday night is going to be wet! Showers are expected, potentially heavy at times, with rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches. Patchy fog will make an appearance between 9 pm and 2 am. Temperatures will hover around 51 degrees, with east winds ramping up to 10 to 15 miles per hour and shifting north after midnight. Wind gusts could reach up to 35 miles per hour.

Monday keeps things interesting with a slight 20 percent chance of morning showers and some lingering fog. Expect a cloudy day with temperatures near 56 degrees and north winds around 15 miles per hour.

The rest of the week looks relatively stable, with partly sunny days and temperatures gradually climbing from the low 50s to the upper 50s and even hitting 66 degrees by Friday.

Speaking of Friday, we're looking at a chance of showers and mostly cloudy conditions. The weekend follows suit with more shower possibilities and temperatures reaching around 67 degrees.
