Good morning, weather watchers! We've got quite the atmospheric dance happening in the Greater New Orleans area today.
Let's start with an important heads up: We're under a Dense Fog Advisory, so if you're heading out, take it slow and keep those headlights on.
Overnight, we're looking at a mild 68 degrees with a 30 percent chance of showers after 5 am. Expect mostly cloudy skies and absolutely zero wind to speak of.
Monday brings similar vibes with temperatures hovering around 65 degrees. We've got a 30 percent chance of showers before 11 am, and patchy dense fog will be making its morning appearance.
Tuesday gets more interesting with temperatures climbing to a pleasant 77 degrees. Expect some sunshine and a 40 percent chance of afternoon showers. Winds will be light and playful, shifting from southeast to south.
Midweek, things get a bit more dramatic. Wednesday brings a 60 percent chance of showers and possible thunderstorms, with temperatures reaching near 79 degrees. Winds could gust up to 25 miles per hour, so hold onto your hats!
As we roll into Thursday and Friday, we'll see a mixed bag of partly sunny skies and scattered shower chances, with temperatures cooling down to the mid 60s and low 70s.
Weekend warriors, prepare for potentially wet conditions with a high chance of showers and thunderstorms on Saturday.
