Hey weather watchers! It's time for your local forecast coming to you from Gretna, Louisiana.

Tonight's looking like a foggy affair with mostly cloudy skies and a steady temperature around 66 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds are taking a chill pill and staying calm.

Tuesday brings a bit more excitement with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Expect some morning fog that'll clear up, giving way to partly sunny conditions. We'll see temperatures climbing to near 79 degrees Fahrenheit with light winds shifting to the south at 5 to 10 miles per hour. There's about a 40 percent chance you'll need that umbrella.

Midweek gets interesting! Wednesday is looking wet with an 80 percent chance of precipitation. Expect scattered showers and possible thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon. Temperatures will peak near 80 degrees Fahrenheit with south winds picking up to 10 to 15 miles per hour and gusts potentially reaching 30 miles per hour.

As we roll into Thursday, things start to cool down. Expect mostly cloudy skies with a high near 68 degrees Fahrenheit and a slight chance of showers. The weekend looks a bit unsettled with Saturday bringing a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms, and temperatures climbing back up to near 79 degrees Fahrenheit.

By Sunday and Washington's Birthday, we're looking at clearing skies and cooler temperatures, with highs in the mid-50s and plenty of sunshine.
