Good morning, weather watchers! This is your friendly neighborhood meteorologist coming to with today's forecast for the Gretna area.

Today's looking like a wet and wild ride! We're expecting showers and thunderstorms, particularly before 3 in the afternoon. The sky will be mostly cloudy with temperatures climbing to a mild 72 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds will be coming in from the east at 5 to 10 miles per hour. We've got a 60 percent chance of precipitation, with just a light sprinkle expected - though thunderstorms might bring a bit more excitement to the mix.

Tonight, we're keeping the drama going with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, most likely between 3 and 5 in the morning. Temperatures will drop to a comfortable 63 degrees Fahrenheit. The wind will start from the southeast, then do a little midnight dance and switch to the west.
