Good morning, weather watchers! This is your friendly neighborhood meteorologist coming to you with the latest forecast for the Gretna area.

Tonight, we're looking at a crisp and clear evening with temperatures dipping down to a cool 54 degrees. Winds will be taking a little break, so expect a calm and peaceful night.

Moving into Wednesday, get ready for a spectacular sunny day! Temperatures will climb to a delightful 75 degrees, with a light south wind picking up to 5 to 10 miles per hour in the morning. It's the kind of day that'll make you want to step outside and soak up some sunshine.

Wednesday night brings partly cloudy skies and a mild low around 61 degrees, with a gentle south wind keeping things comfortable.

Thursday heats up even more with mostly sunny conditions and temperatures reaching near 80 degrees. Expect a southwest wind dancing at 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Friday starts to get a bit more exciting with partly sunny skies and temperatures again near 80 degrees. The south wind will be a bit more playful, blowing 5 to 15 miles per hour with gusts up to 25 miles per hour.

Weekend warriors, listen up! Saturday is looking like a wet one. We've got a 70 percent chance of showers and possible thunderstorms. Temperatures will hover around 79 degrees with south winds gusting up to 30 miles per hour.

The good news is Sunday brings us back to beautiful sunny weather with a high near 73 degrees and a northwest wind keeping things cool.

Early next week continues the sunny trend, with Monday and Tuesday promising clear skies and temperatures in the low to mid 70s.
