From CTV News W5, Investigative Journalist Jon Woodward joins the Nightshift after spending some time with Canadian military personnel, including reservists from 37 Signal Regiment, that participated in Operation Nanook, a series of exercises in the Arctic. The exercises, which included testing explosives and navigating the harsh terrain, come at a crucial time as Canada faces challenges in defending its vast northern territory.  The Canadian Armed Forces are working to address recruitment shortages and improve their ability to mobilize troops in the Arctic.
