You know how people like to stretch their birthday to a birth-week, or birth-month? Well this... is my birth-life. Birth-life is a mindset. I've had a Happy Birthday sign hanging in my living room for a full year now.

Happy Birthday to New Recording. New Recording started first and foremost as a bridge to something that I felt like I lost capacity for: connecting to other people with depth. It’s been a whole year of connecting with not only my podcast guests but with the cherished people who reach out to let me know my work or stories have moved them in some way. Thank you for keeping me afloat. AND THANK you to everyone who sent me a voice memo for my birthday! I truly love each of you.
