Having heard the fine structure constant 1/137 is varying over some 30 years, I feel it is really something science magazines write about from time to time. It has more than a wiff of politics around it with ex- students causing problems with equally shaky work. It was a good read for testing my memory though. Then there is an article about antidepressants and it is perhaps more interesting to think about the ambiguity of the results that the journalist paraphrases.
