Growing up I always thought that Arabs were just basically Caucasian or a little of tinted skin and hairy. I was never educated on Afro-Arabs. I never knew anyone who was black could speak Arabic or even be arab. It was a very not only ignorant but negative view I kept with myself up until high school. And it’s unfortunate to discover that I am not the only person who thought that way. Many Arabs in our communities still think this way and believe this way and even non-Arabs think this way. So I am excited to announce a new series strictly about Afro Arabs brought to you by Afro Arabs.
