I love meeting new people willing to share their “lemon to lemonade” experience!

This story is about Toni who had a life changing event when her hubby discovered a small lump in her breast. It was cancer. She wasn't nervous or afraid and felt at ease, so she started sharing her story on social media. Now she is an advocate for early detection! Toni uses the pageant platform now to teach and share resources to get mammograms. She is a cancer champion! What message do you get from this interview?

Name of Event: Check Yourself

Purpose: To honor cancer survivors through incredible dancers and singers; and ultimately encourage others to take advantage of early (cancer) detection after hearing the inspiring stories from the cancer survivors at the event.

Date: Tuesday June 6th, 2023

Location: Springville High School Auditorium (1205 East 900 South)

Show Time: 6 PM, doors open (to the public) at 5:30 PM

Confirmed Talent: the talent will be amazing and the event itself will be so inspiring! We have dancers from So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing with the Stars, World of Dance as well as singers who have appeared on The Voice and American Idol...just to name a few.

Cost: A minimum $5 (tax deductible) donation per person paid to Dancers Against Cancer, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit which helps offset the cost of treatment for cancer patients within the dance community. ABOUT the LemonAid Stand: Heidi started hosting the LemonAid Stand live radio talk show, over 20 years ago, in 1999! It all came about when Heidi was dealing with thoughts of suicide, inadequacy, and dealing with infertility. She realized as she reached out to others and heard their stories, she would be uplifted and inspired no matter what she was going through. So this podcast has old "Original" shows from that time period. It also has "New" shows that are currently being recorded with new guests. And it has "Update" shows where Heidi reached out to original radio show guests to find out how the past 20 years have been! Theme song written and recorded by Heidi’s baby brother Shane!
