For the Perez family in Richmond, California, Sunday will be the ninth Christmas they'll spend without their only child.  Pedie Perez was murdered by a cop on September 14th, 2014.  Officer Wallace Jensen is enjoying his retirement, entirely unaccountable for losing his shit and killing a completely innocent young man one night, for no conceivable reason.  I met Pedie's parents and grandparents when I was in California earlier this month, and wrote this song.
