According to gun control activists, the answer is "yes," but a new study published in the Journal of Surgical Research finds no connection between firearm purchases and the number of crimes. Dr. Mark Hamill, a trauma surgeon and associate professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center who was a primary author and researcher for the new study, joins Cam on today's show to discuss his findings and the current state of "gun violence" research in the medical community.
