This week our hosts, Keith Vincent, John Holt, and Mary Varn are joined again by Adam Moerder. We're tackling the second part of our theme "Childhood."
________
Segment 1: "Tomato Butt" from New From Lake Wobegon by Garrison Keiller (radio story)
John Holt (@lordjoho) brings a bit of storytelling from the Prairie Home Companion radio show- specifically a story from the "News from Lake Wobegon" series, and even more specifically a story that was included in the Summer cassette of an 1983 collection of stories.
You can find this story on iTunes, and on Amazon. It is also possibly available on the Prairie Home Companion archives.
______
Segment 2: The Adventures of Pete & Pete "Time Tunnel" (tv episode)
Keith Vincent (earthlingkeith.tumblr.com) offers up a Nickelodeon television show from the 90's. A surrealist sit-com from the dual perspective of two brothers, one on either side of puberty, it is a must see. This year (2013) Pete & Pete is celebrating it's 20th Anniversary.
The specific episode we're talking about is "Time Tunnel" from the second season. You can find The Adventures of Pete & Pete on DVD- Season 1, Season 2.
