Segment 1:  Star Trek the Next Generation (television show)

Mary discovered the joys of Star Trek with her parent’s influence. This was the return of the franchise in its very successful seven-season run.

The Next Generation afforded a great vehicle for Science Fiction storytelling and followed the model of using an “alien/outsider” premise and world to explore common themes of morality and humanity, amongst other philosophical questions.

Currently Star Trek the Next Generation is available streaming on Netflix andAmazon. You can also purchase it on DVD or Blu-Ray.

Segment 2:  Steve Forbert (singer/songwriter)

Keith gained a great deal of musical exposure through his parents, and Steve Forbert is an artist he and his siblings still equate with their parents’ great taste.
