When we begin to think about community, it is so easy to default to what we can get out of it. Our cultural community is defined by our mutual interest and relational connections. We often find it difficult to view our communities as not being about us. Jesus invites us into a new way of life. This new way of being a community challenges our very thinking and invites us into greater purpose.
