Today Teresa talks about the expression pooh-pooh. This idiom is of the straight-up repeated type. It is used to dismiss an idea or suggestion as being foolish or impractical. A long, long time ago it was really common for people to say, "Oh, pooh!" as a way to express disappointment. Now you can when it is repeated it is a way of saying you don't think something is good. A course pooh is also another way to say poop so you might think that's what they're say but it doesn't feel that strong to me.
