A new year is upon us and it’s common to make new year’s resolutions. To resolve how we’re going to do things differently in 2024. But usually, it’s a just a bit of light-hearted fun, because we don’t really expect that things are going to change. It’s easy to think that way about the Christian life too. To have good intentions but to see no real change. But God’s word challenges us. In view of Jesus arrival and the day of God’s wrath, real repentance and radical change is not optional. It is essential.
