In Christ this doctrine is a great foundation for us to press on in our daily lives with the confidence that God is purposefully directing all things for His glory and our good as His adopted children. Our God has revealed Himself as a God who purposely controls all things in His universe in order to humble human pride, elevate worship, and destroy the pit of hopelessness. The Providence of God should maintain the seaworthiness of our ship of faith, build our courage, grant joy in affliction and deepen our love and trust in Him
