2020 was a year filled with tragedy and misfortune. We experienced loss and adversity all throughout the year, and the global mood was one of fear, gloom, anxiety, uncertainty, and pessimism for the future. We have all been concerned with what is going to happen with our communities health, economy, and political and social landscape. As an individual, it’s important focus on what you want, not on what you don’t want. When you feel fear regarding the pandemic virus, economy, and political status. It’s important to realize that you are simultaneously feeling inward-directed fears for your own health and well-being, financial security, and social freedom. We cannot control what happens with our community at large (although we can play our part in contributing to it), but we can control what we do in our daily life to move in the direction that we want to go. Many times in life when we find ourselves at a deficit or down in a slump, it is due to us limiting ourselves. We can make a decision to leave behind the things that we do to hold ourselves back. We can break our addictions to drugs, toxic relationships, negative thinking, laziness, and time-wasting. We can move forward into 2021 and change the way we look at ourselves in the mirror, the way we think about the future, the way we talk and walk, we can change up our swag and fashion, and we can totally upgrade or re-invent ourselves to be who we really want to be.
