Good morning. I’m Joseph Delaney and here is your New York Daily News morning briefing for Monday, August 17. A 47-year-old man was fatally shot just outside Brooklyn’s Prospect Park yesterday, police said. The victim was struck twice in the head on the edge of the park in Prospect Lefferts Garden about 2:00 a.m., officials said. Medics worked on him at the scene for about 45 minutes before he died there, cops said. His name was not immediately released There were no immediate arrests.
