In this segment we will hear about the features of the Newberry Caldera. We will answer questions like were there Multiple calderas? How is Obsidian formed? Are Pumice, Obsidian and Granite really the same? What is the Science behind geothermal energy.
The Newberry Caldera as we know it today may be only one of several caldera creating events. Also learn what unique conditions are required to form Obsidian and how obsidian, pumice and granite can be identical. Studies being conducted on Newberry could bring geothermal to the forefront of clean energy.
