While we celebrate the newly wed Alex back into the fold to reunite the full power trio, unfortunately it is to capture the gory details of a poor Everton performance in a 1-0 loss at St. James Park in Newcastle. The ATP does attempt to uncover what when wrong tactically and technically as well as the usual individual performance reviews, but we also attempt to answer the questions as to why Everton is struggling to create chances and what the club can do to fix the problem if anything. We discuss the changes in the midfield over the past 3 matches, the combination of Gray and Gordon, and the limitations of the existing backline. We bring in a bunch of listener comments to help guide the discussion and believe we arrive at some plausible solutions. Feel free to give it a listen and give us your own takes – we’d love to hear them.
