Can your parents tell you the details of the day you were born? Do they know the time they were born or did absolutely no one keep track of that in the Boomer age? If you did french immersion do you sometimes think in french? Okay that one is unrelated.

These are questions we ask today, since we are in Virgo season and coming up on Sarahs birthday. Sarahs cousin Shauna gives Sarah a birth chart reading and explains what different aspects of it mean, and the parts that stood out to her. For all you haters out there, it is about way more than your sun sign and horoscope in a magazine!

This conversation went on so long (give or take 5 hours) that they start linking birth charts to life paths and then to spirituality - so there will actually be a part two to this episode!

Episode 7 - The first solo episode (with the exception of some voice clips and shoutouts to many people mentioned in this episode) where Sarah gives a quick rant on wedding expectations as a couple, guest, or member of a bridal party. She gives a quick overview of her time at Boots and Hearts in Oro Medonte, ON, and how they had to evacuate 30 minutes before Shania Twain was set to perform. We get a travel tip or two and Sarah shares a pet peeve she has just come to realize she hates when it comes to airport baggage. 

We also get a few voice clips from Boots and Hearts while trying to see if anyone has connections to NL - spoiler alert, they do.

Episode 6 - Nick Earle and Dan George are here this week, talking about their experiences as musicians in Newfoundland! They talk about becoming Nick Earle and the Reckless Hearts, writing music from dreams, and playing for crowds in downtown St.Johns. They also give their take on the dating scene in NL and their own support systems.

They discuss future festival plans and what comes next (spoiler: its an album release party this Friday July 22nd at the Rockhouse - go buy tickets)

Episode 5 - Sarah speaks with Jill, who is soon taking on her masters degree in social work, about her experience working in the field in Labrador. She talks about the lack of education in our province about indigenous people, how it has been working in a rural area, and how it feels to (not) celebrate Canada Day right now.  They also reflect on how a healthy relationship with a partner can help your career, and how their days working at a shoe store led them to where they are now.

Episode 4 - Sarah and future psychologist Hilary discuss the excitement and stress that can come on as summertime begins, and some tips on resetting between seasons and keeping your mental health in check. The summer weather can cause some change of hearts when it comes to dating in NL and they talk about the experiences some of you have had with rejection, and how best to handle it.
