The beginning of a new year is the perfect time to reflect on life. Many people make new year’s resolutions in hopes of accomplishing something that they did not achieve the previous year. Sometimes people take on a new habit, or vow to try something new. There is a lot of newness in the Bible as well, by the way. God is constantly doing new things from changing seasons to the rise and fall of nations. When we accept Jesus into our hearts, He makes us new. And as we walk with Him, He constantly works new things in our lives.

The Bible says in Isaiah 43:19, “Behold, I am doing a new thing” and 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things have passed away, and behold, all things have become new.” Where are you in your faith journey? Have you accepted Jesus, and allowed Him to transform you? Have you been walking with Him, but feel tired and need renewal? Wherever you are, lean on Him today. Rest in Him! Let Jesus refresh and renew you for this new year. Share His good news with others.  That’s a good New Year’s resolution.  The Bible says, “Christ lives in me,” and “I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me.”  What a promise for the new year!This is Luis Palau.
