News Blitz 5/3/2017: Tre Boston + 4 others cut; KB 5th year option
The Panthers released safety Tre Boston and four other players. Among those Cornerback Lou Young, fullback Devon Johnson and offensive tackles Jack Rodgers and Jordan Rigsbee.
The Panthers also exercised their fifth-year option for Kelvin Benjamin. Though Benjamin has showed to up to practice a bit above his ideal weight the Panthers went ahead to secure the wide receiver just before the Tuesday deadline.
