Cherokee County Acting District Attorney Susan Treadaway will soon be dropping “acting” from her title.

Gov. Brian Kemp will appoint Treadaway to officially serve as district attorney for Cherokee’s Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit, the governor’s office announced Tuesday.

Treadaway has been serving as acting district attorney since late January, after her predecessor Shannon Wallace was sworn in as a Superior Court judge.
