Phil also gets into his brand new book, Redwoods & Whales, which releases on April 16. Phil tells the story of his unexpected encounter with a beached whale, as well as with giant redwoods in California, his writings about that growing into what eventually became Redwoods & Whales. Brian Smith, Manager of Broadcasting & Media Services for the Philadelphia Flyers also joins the show for a segment to talk the Flyers’ playoff hopes and the announcement this week that the team will participate in the 2019 Global Series this fall.
