Peace

Based on Jacks recommendation, I watched The Lives of Others this afternoon. I am still weeping from how unexpectedly awesome the ending was.

I live in theatrical spaces and was amazed at the overlap between this story and the collectivization of the American Theatre.

And because suicide has also been a theme of my personal life, this double punch set my heart on Fire.

This movie is one of the BEST depictions of Free Will winning over totalitarianism that I have ever seen.

The fact that it won the Oscar for best foreign film in 2007 underscores the impact it has had as we have defeated Marxism wherever it has popped up around the World.

Here is Jacks summary

The Lives of Others. The flat out best movie ever made about communism, this brilliant German film sneaks up on you.

I was halfway through this thriller before I realized that the film’s seeming villain was its hero.

Set in 1984 East Germany, The Lives of Others shows how corrosive to the soul is even a relatively benign socialist police state.

Imagine self-censoring your art to please the state or losing your job for telling a joke!

The film’s ending is as close to perfect as a movie gets.“

Lost Sheep

(Verse One)

What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

(Chorus)

Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.

And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.

(Verse Two)

And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

(Chorus)

Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.

And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.

(Bridge)

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

(Verse Three)

I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. Ohhh ahh I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

(Chorus)

Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.

And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.

Jesus Prays 3rd Nephi 17

(Verse one)

And it came to pass that he commanded that their little children should be brought. So they brought their little children and set them down upon the ground round about him, and Jesus stood in the midst; and the multitude gave way till they had all been brought unto him.

(Chorus)

And it came to pass that when Jesus had made an end of praying unto the Father, he arose; but so great was the joy of the multitude that they were overcome.

(Verse Two)

And after this manner do they bear record: The eye hath never seen, neither hath the ear heard, before, so great and marvelous things as we saw and heard Jesus speak unto the Father;

(Chorus)

And it came to pass that when Jesus had made an end of praying unto the Father, he arose; but so great was the joy of the multitude that they were overcome.

(Verse Three)

And no tongue can speak, neither can there be written by any man, neither can the hearts of men conceive so great and marvelous things as we both saw and heard Jesus speak; and no one can conceive of the joy which filled our souls at the time we heard him pray for us unto the Father.

(Chorus)

And it came to pass that when Jesus had made an end of praying unto the Father, he arose; but so great was the joy of the multitude that they were overcome.

(Bridge)

behold he prayed unto the Father, and the things which he prayed cannot be written, and the multitude did bear record who heard him.

(Verse four)

Blessed are ye because of your faith. And now behold, my joy is full. And when he had said these words, he wept, and the multitude bare record of it, and he took their little children, one by one, and blessed them, and prayed unto the Father for them.

(Chorus)

Behold your little ones. And as they looked to behold they cast their eyes towards heaven, and they saw the heavens open, and they saw angels descending out of heaven as it were in the midst of fire; and they came down and encircled those little ones about, and they were encircled about with fire; and the angels did minister unto them.

The Work of Thy Hand

The song used in my video today is an AI Music Generator song crafted using prompts from the Bible.

Isaiah 62:11

Isaiah 63:9

Isaiah 64:8

Verse One

Behold, the Lord hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

(Chorus)

But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

(Verse Two)

In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.

(Chorus)

But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

(Verse three)

For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.

(Chorus)

But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

(Verse four)

That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.

(Bridge)

For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

(Chorus)

But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
