Ms. Taylor was first elected as a member of provincial parliament in 2011 and has been re-elected three times since, making her the longest active serving MPP in the city. As a member of the official opposition, she currently serves as theNDP critic for children community and social services as well as the deputy opposition whip.
A life long resident of Hamilton, prior to running for office, she spent her career in the hospitality industry and was an assistant to former city councilor Scott Duval.
