State of nutrition in the countryFocus: The South African Child Gauge 2020 report called malnutrition a form of slow violence against poor children. It is not just about hunger, but also about the quality and variety of foods that children eat. Many children in SA don't have access to healthy foods, and poverty makes it even worse.  In addition, The South African National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (SANHANES) found that over a quarter of the population is malnourished, while more than half are overweight. This is a major issue for children, as malnutrition can have lifelong effects on their physical and mental development. To discuss this further, we are joined on the line by....
