In this episode Matthew looks at the issue of next generation standards makers. And in particular the IEC Young Professionals Programme (IECYPP) and the IEC Young Professional Leaders (YPL).

He speaks to the three YPLs in 2022 - Lea Emmel, Colin Sheldon and Mohammed Hasan - about their roles in promoting standards-making participation. And to the IEC’s Aristea Kyriakati about the importance and legacy of the YPL initiative.

He also speaks to Shahid Khan and Jayson Sheppard - two of the UK representatives on the IECYPP in 2021 - about their experiences of taking part.

The episode also includes details of how to apply for this year’s IECYPP, taking place in San Francisco in the United States.
