My name is Mary Middlebrook. I'm a former homeschool mom and independent homeschool educator (www.nextlevelhomeschool.com). Back when I started homeschooling in 2006, it was a constant struggle to find educational curriculum and opportunities for my son. But as you know, in the past few years there has been an explosion of educational opportunities from amazing educators around the world and families seeking those resources. The problem is how do people find them.
I recently started a new website called IndyEd.com. It's the first database of its kind that allows educators to list their online classes, downloadables, books, kits, in-person experiences, and more into one easily searchable database so learners can quickly find what they need. Learners can search by secular/religious, age, subject, neurodivergencies, and more. We don't sell education on IndyEd.com- we simply connect learners with educators. It's a long overdue solution to a growing problem. Homeschool Yo Kids Podcast shares organic conversations that promote confidence, a growth mindset, and are filled with inspiration and good energy. Sharing stories from the classroom, their home learning journey, and other reflections and life experiences, come grow and learn with Jae.
