Today is a day of celebration and remembrance! For our first stop, we’re off to Carrollton to check out the Mississippi John Hurt Homecoming Festival and History Symposium, happening October 5th through the 6th in Carrollton, and in with us to tell us more is his granddaughter, Mary Francis Hurt & Mt. Zion Memorial Fund Rep. Corey Crowder, then we’re kicking off the countdown to the 100th Birthday Celebration of B.B. King and Medgar Evers, with celebrations to be held throughout the year 2025 with Malika Polk-Lee, B.B. King Museum Director! Plus, we’ll also check out what’s happening around your neck of the woods… Stay tuned, buckle up, and hold on tight for your Next Stop Mississippi!
