There’s nothing more satisfying than an aptly named festival & our first two stops of the day will not disappoint… Today, we're off to the Black-Eyed Pea Festival in Mantee, Saturday, October 14th with Mayor of Mantee, Mary Margaret Williams... and you can't have black-eyed peas without cornbread of course, so we'll swing by New Houlka's Cornbread Festival that same day with Mayor of New Houlka, David "Bo" Huffman, before a final stop at the Mississippi State Fair to check out Mississippi's own, Four Washington, performing that same night! Plus, we'll also check out what's happening around your neck of the woods.

Next Stop, Mississippi is your on-air source for information about upcoming events and attractions across the state. Get to know the real Mississippi! Each week the show's hosts, Germaine Flood and Kamel King, Tourism Development Bureau Manger with Visit Mississippi, highlight well-known and unknown places in Mississippi with the best food, parks, music and arts. They'll not only tell you what's going on in your neck of the woods, but also share the history and people behind the markets, sporting events, concerts, fairs and festivals all over Mississippi. Hear the personal stories and traditions behind that favorite event you attend each year on Next Stop, Mississippi. Check out our Sipp Events calendar to help plan your next trip!
