In this special episode of Next Year Is Now - Episode 0015 - Garropo-low Point, co-hosts Mark and Joey share their thoughts at the bye, which is directly at the midpoint of season two in a three-year plan.
Update: As this episode was being recorded, the Browns sunk to a new and utterly unexpected low... previously unthinkable. They not only failed to land Garropolo, they kinda-sorta landed A.J. McCarron from the Bengals, but according to reports, failed to file the paperwork with the league office on time before the trading deadline. As if that weren't bad enough, it appears the deal was for a 2nd and a 3rd round draft pick in 2018. Considering Garropolo was had by the 49ers for only a 2nd rounder, it's incomprehensible that that Browns would be willing to pay more for McCarron than they would have for Garropolo! Good Lord.
Update #2: Josh Gordon has been conditionally re-instated since the recording of this episode. Maybe things really did hit rock bottom and we're headed back up again? Stay clean, Josh!!!
