🚨 Nick Shirley is BACK in California—and this time the battle over government transparency, taxpayer dollars and AB 2624 is getting even bigger.

California lawmakers have advanced **AB 2624**, legislation officially titled *Privacy for Immigration Support Services Providers*. Critics have dubbed it the **“Stop Nick Shirley Act,”** arguing that portions of the legislation could discourage citizen journalists and independent investigators from scrutinizing organizations that receive taxpayer funding.

Supporters of AB 2624 strongly disagree, saying the legislation is intended to protect immigration-support workers and providers from harassment, threats, doxxing and violence.

But Nick Shirley isn't backing away.

After gaining national attention for investigations into alleged fraud, waste and abuse, Shirley has returned to California and is turning his attention toward taxpayer-funded programs, nonprofits, hospice operations, daycare subsidies, the state's troubled high-speed rail project and more.

And the timing couldn't be more significant.

The California Senate approved AB 2624 on August 18, sending the amended legislation back to the Assembly for concurrence.

Joe Rogan just delivered one of his most emotional and explosive statements yet about Dr. Anthony Fauci and the COVID vaccine controversy.

President Trump just discovered something about White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt — and apparently he is VERY “concerned.” 😂

When asked whether Karoline Leavitt was replaceable, President Trump praised her performance before joking that he had discovered she likes her children more than she likes Trump.

The hilarious exchange comes as Leavitt prepares to step down as White House press secretary at the end of August to spend more time with her family. Trump has publicly praised Leavitt and she is expected to remain involved as an outside adviser.

A California murder case is raising explosive new questions about pretrial release, public safety, sanctuary policies, and accountability in the criminal justice system.

Marcos Eduardo Iriarte-Valdez was already facing residential burglary charges when police say he was taken back into custody on August 4 for allegedly violating the conditions of his home detention. On August 5, a judge ordered him released on his own recognizance and returned him to electronic monitoring. The next day, prosecutors allege that Iriarte-Valdez stabbed 68-year-old retiree Todd Stewart to death while committing a residential burglary in Martinez, California.

Even more astonishing: the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office says prosecutors had objected to electronic home detention for Iriarte-Valdez three separate times. He has since pleaded not guilty to the murder charge and was ordered held without bail after another judge called him a risk to public safety.

DHS has also entered the controversy, describing Iriarte-Valdez as a Venezuelan national with Spanish citizenship who had originally been legally admitted to the United States in 2007 and placing an immigration detainer on him after the homicide. The political dispute over California's immigration and sanctuary policies is now intensifying.
