NFC East Week-14 Recap; Will the New York Giants get one more win for Eli Manning?

Listen Later

The Philadelphia Eagles were the only team in the NFC East to get a victory this week. They squeaked out a victory against division rival, New York. The Giants saw "sugar" Eli Manning return to quarterback to fill in for the injured rookie, Daniel Jones. Unfortunately for the G-men, the first half boost wasn't enough to hold off the scrappy Eagles. Philadelphia moves into a division tie with the Dallas Cowboys; both teams at 6-7.The Washington Redskins put up a fight and covered the spread at Lambeau Field against the home Packers. Dwayne Haskins had his ankle rolled in the first half, but he played through the pain and recorded his first TD pass to former OSU teammate, Scary Terry McLaurin. The Redskins will host division rival, Philadelphia on Sunday. It wouldn't be a complete week in the NFL without a disappointing performance from the Cowboys defense and special teams. These units continue to hold back a really good offense. The Cowboys have now dropped three-in a-row for the second time this season. Dallas does, however, still hold a share of the lead in the division. They also currently hold the tie-breaker of division wins. The Cowboys will host the red-hot Los Angeles Rams, who will likely need to win out to have a chance at the playoffs. Will the New York Giants get another win for Eli Manning? Eli has claimed he will not take a job as a backup quarterback next year in the NFL. That means this could be Manning's last year in the NFL. Could this be Eli Mannings last game played in the NFL? Will he finish his career with a losing record? All this and more on the best podcast covering the NFC East, Gridiron East. Join Michael V. Jones and Donald R.
