It is the final episode of the Sharp Edges Podcast for 2019. Calvin and Brandon look to close out the year on a strong note. It has been a profitable series so far and all signs point to 2020 being even more successful. Calvin and Brandon discuss five bowl games in this episode including both College Football Playoff games. The two also discuss four NFL games including a couple that have playoff implications.

The first game of the College Football Playoff matches up #4 Oklahoma vs #1 LSU. The Tigers are a huge favorite in this game, can they cover a nearly two touchdown spread? Should we expect a high-scoring shootout that can cover a total as high as 77 points? In the second CFP game #3 Clemson is a small favorite over #2 Ohio State. Do the oddsmakers have the spread right or will Ohio State get the win? Also, should we expect these two defenses to make this a low-scoring game or will offense prevail?

Head over to the Alamo Bowl where Texas takes on Utah. Both teams have had a season below their expectations but which team has more motivation in this game? Speaking of disappointing seasons, Michigan takes on Alabama in the Citrus Bowl. Can Michigan cover and possibly pull the upset with Alabama resting a bunch of their starters? Or is the Crimson Tide just too good for the Wolverines? Our final college football bowl game features a Top 10 matchup between Oregon and Wisconsin. The Ducks are a small underdog but is that the right move?

Looking at the NFL, Calvin and Brandon open their discussions with a matchup between New Orleans and Carolina. The Saints are a big favorite and have a lot to play for but can they cover against Will Grier and the Panthers? The Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams meet in a non-playoff implication game. Will the Cardinals continue their winning streak? The Titans take on the Texans in a rematch of two weeks ago. The Titans need a win to get into the playoffs. Will they get the win and cover against an already AFC South champion Houston team? Finally, Calvin and Brandon look at an AFC West matchup between Oakland and Denver. Oakland still has a miracle chance at the playoffs but can they get a cover against an improving Denver team?
